QUIZ TEAM WINNERS!
Congratulations to our two Quiz Teams who came 1st and 2nd at the dlr Libraries Quiz yesterday. Both teams will attend the finals on Friday. We wish them luck as they try to retain the trophy after last year's victory! Thank you to Ms. Brennan and Ms. Heaney for their work with our quiz teams. General knowledge is alive and well in Hollypark!

STAY SAFE
The CAPP (Child Abuse Prevention Programme), more commonly known as Stay Safe is a mandatory personal safety skills programme that all primary schools are required to implement. Its overall objective is to prevent child abuse and bullying.
In Hollypark BNS, the Stay Safe programme is fully implemented by the class teacher.
Parental involvement has always been an integral part of the successful implementation of the programme, and we are delighted to offer a Parent Information meeting via Zoom on Tuesday, May 12th at 7 pm.
This information session will give information on:
- The aims and content of the Stay Safe programme
- Information on child abuse and bullying (including cyberbullying)
- Child protection requirements of the school

Ukulele Lessons
We are delighted to share that the boys in 4th and 5th Class will begin Ukulele lessons this week. The six-week programme is kindly funded by the Parents' Association, and we are very grateful for their continued support in providing enriching opportunities for our pupils.
STAFF IN-SERVICE May 13th
A reminder, School is closed on May 13th to facilitate staff in-service training on the new Primary Curriculum Framework. Please inform minders, grandparents, and after-school care, etc.
MARVELLOUS ACHIEVEMENT
Congratulations to Luke, Age 5, in Junior Infants, who completed his 12th 2km Park Run last weekend. Luke was awarded a half-marathon wristband at the event in Cabinteely Park. Well done, Luke, this is a fantastic milestone- keep it going! Follow the details in the poster below if you want to get involved in the Park Run- it really is a fabulous event each Sunday.


STARS OF THE FUTURE
Congratulations to Oisin and Isaac, who are league champions! Their team, St. Joseph's, played a brilliant match against local rivals Cabinteely last Monday night and left with the silverware! A huge amount of dedication from boys and parents alike went into the victory. Well done to all on your brilliant win.
