SUPER KEEPER!

A huge congratulations to our very own caretaker Jeff, who jetted off to Spain last week to represent Ireland at Over-55s hockey and by his own account, he absolutely played out of his skin! While we always knew Jeff was handy with a brush, a drill, and an emergency fix, it turns out he’s just as impressive with a hockey stick. He hasn’t stopped smiling since he got back, and we’re not surprised. We’re all incredibly proud to have an international sports star quietly keeping the school running smoothly. Well done Jeff—next stop, the Olympics!

STAR OF THE FUTURE

Congratulations to Shaurya, who achieved a fantastic second-place finish at the Leinster Table Tennis Junior Classic. This is a brilliant accomplishment and a testament to the skill, focus and determination he brings to the table. Competing at such a high level takes real dedication, and we are incredibly proud of the effort and sportsmanship he showed throughout the tournament. Well done, Shaurya, an outstanding achievement and hopefully the first of many podium finishes to come!

CyberSafeKids Online Survey

We were delighted to welcome Cybersafekids to our school this week to speak with our 4th, 5th and 6th class students about online safety and digital awareness.  Their engaging and age-appropriate sessions helped our students better understand how to stay safe, be responsible, and make smart choices online.  It was a valuable opportunity for everyone to reflect on the importance of respectful and safe internet use, and we greatly appreciate the important work they do in supporting young people in the digital world.

As part of the visit, boys from 4th, 5th and 6th class were surveyed about their online use. Please see the report below.

This report provides insights into the online lives of students at this school, based on data collected through the CyberSafeKids online survey. All responses were given anonymously—no names or identifying information were collected. The findings reflect children’s access to the online world, the level of supervision they receive at home, their digital interests, and the types of experiences they encounter online. Where possible, and depending on the number and distribution of responses, the report includes a breakdown of results by class group. At various points, findings from our research conducted during the last academic year—published in September 2025—are referenced for comparison. The infographic below summarises key insights from over 7,000 children aged 8–12 who took part in last year's survey. The full report, A Life Behind The Screens, is available on the CyberSafeKids website at www.cybersafekids.ie/report
