SEACHTAIN NA GAEILGE 6Ú - 13Ú MÁRTA 2026

Beidh Seachtain na Gaeilge a chéiliúreadh againn sa scoil ar an 6ú - 13ú lá de Mhárta.  Táimid ag tnúth go mór leis!  Beidh imeachtaí cheiliúreadh ar siúl timpeall na scoile i rith na coicíse mar yoga,as gaeilge, céilí, trath na gceist, ciorcal comhrá, craic agus ceoil. Beidh seans ag na buachaillí duaiseanna a bhuacaint sa chomórtais “Gaelgeoir an Lae” agus “Gaelgeoir na Seachtaine”.  Tá na buachaillí gnóthach ag foghlaim amhráin, dánta agus rainn le haghaidh an Pharáid.  Beidh an Pharáid ar siúl sa chlós ar an 12ú lá de Mhárta ag 11:00. (School Parade on March 12th @ 11am. All parents/grandparents are welcome)

This week is a special week for these great boys: Zain Abu Marasa, Conor Hanly, Casey O' Connor, Senan Hanly, Nicholas Twomey, Niall Buckley and James Daly. Have a wonderful celebration boys! 

CYBERSAFE KIDS

We were delighted to welcome Cybersafekids to our school this week to speak with our 4th, 5th and 6th class students about online safety and digital awareness.  Their engaging and age-appropriate sessions helped our students better understand how to stay safe, be responsible, and make smart choices online.  It was a valuable opportunity for everyone to reflect on the importance of respectful and safe internet use, and we greatly appreciate the important work they do in supporting young people in the digital world.

Cybersafekids also hosted a webinar last week – Essential Digital Parenting, Alex Cooney in discussion with Colman Noctor.  It had really good insights to children and smartphones, video games and screen time.  If you missed it, you can listen back here Cybersafekids Webinar

Did you know Youtube has a Restricted Mode?

Turn Restricted Mode on or off on YouTube

Restricted Mode is an optional setting that you can use on YouTube. This feature can help screen out potentially mature content that you or others using your devices may prefer not to view. 

How to turn Restricted Mode on or off on Youtube:

  1. Sign in to your account.
  2. At the top right, click your profile photo.
  3. At the bottom, click Restricted Mode.
  4. In the top-right box that opens, to turn Restricted Mode on or off, click Activate Restricted Mode.
