EAVAN BOLAND LIBRARY

Congratulations to the Family of Eavan Boland on the Naming of the Trinity College Dublin Library

We are thrilled to congratulate the family of the late, great poet Eavan Boland on a remarkable tribute to her legacy. The library at Trinity College Dublin has officially been named in her honour, cementing Eavan Boland's place as one of Ireland's most celebrated and influential literary voices.

Eavan Boland, whose poetry touched the hearts of readers worldwide, was a passionate advocate for women's voices in literature and the power of poetry to capture the human experience. Through her powerful work, she reshaped the landscape of Irish literature, and her impact continues to be felt today.

Her family, including her grandson Jack Barry, a pupil at Hollypark BNS, was present at the unveiling of this special tribute. Jack, who has grown up surrounded by the richness of Eavan's legacy, represents the next generation who will continue to be inspired by her work. The naming of the library is not only a personal achievement for the Boland family but also an enduring symbol of Eavan's profound influence on the world of literature.

This honour is a fitting recognition of Eavan Boland's contribution to Irish culture, literature, and education. Her work has inspired countless individuals, and now, with the library bearing her name, her legacy will continue to inspire generations of students and scholars at Trinity College Dublin and beyond.

We extend our warmest congratulations to the Boland family and look forward to seeing the lasting impact Eavan’s work will have on future poets and writers. Her voice will echo through the halls of Trinity College Dublin for years to come.
