ADVENT WREATHS
Thank you, once again, to Ms. Perera and her team of volunteers for their work with our boys making advent wreaths. The boys love making the wreaths and they are looking forward to displaying them at home.
Advent is a period of preparation and anticipation leading up to Christmas, marking the four Sundays before December 25th. Each week of Advent emphasises themes such as hope, peace, joy, and love, helping us prepare our hearts and minds for the celebration of Christmas.
POLLING STATION, NOVEMBER 29th
The school has been deemed a polling station for the upcoming General Election on Friday, November 29th. Hollypark Boys' school will be closed on this day. Please inform minders and after school facilities.
STAFF INSERVICE: FULL-DAY SCHOOL CLOSURE
Hollypark BNS staff will have whole staff training day on Monday, December 16th. The theme of the training is autism and autism classrooms.

LAST DAY OF TERM
The final day of this school term is Friday 20th December. We will operate a staggered finish on that day. Please inform minders, grandparents and after school facilities.

SANTA VISIT
Santa and his elves will once again visit Hollypark this year. We look forward to welcoming him on Wednesday, December 18th. It is always one of our favourite days of the year!
Parent-teacher meetings
Parent-teacher meetings will take place the week beginning Monday, January 27th.
PARISH CHRISTMAS CONCERT
Foxrock Parish Church will host a Parish Christmas Concert in Foxrock Church on Sunday, December 1st @ 6 pm. The concert will raise funds for Critical Emergency Response and First Light. There will be musical performances on the night from the wonderfully talented Hollypark Girls' School Choir. It promises to be a fabulous occasion for two great causes.
Tickets are priced at €15.00 each and will be available to purchase from Mr. O' Donovan in the school office. (Cash purchase only)
STARS OF THE FUTURE
A huge well done to our 3rd class boys, Barry, Henry, William, Cruz, Ruan, Scott, Nico, Noah and Conor (pictured below) who took part in STEM challenges with Ms. Travers last week. The boys were using our Lego Spike kits that we purchased last year. The lesson was very engaging and lots of fun! The boys completed the challenges with ease. Engineers of the future!
MATHS QUIZ
Best wishes to Archie, Chun Yin (Jay) Man, Daniel and James,6th class, who will represent Hollypark at an inter-schools Maths Quiz. The quiz will take place in St. Attracta's NS, Ballinteer today. Thank you to Mr. Mc Evoy for organising our team. Go n-eírí libh!
CHRISTMAS ANNUALS
Christmas annuals are available to order. Annuals cost €4.50 and can be paid in cash to your class teacher. We recommend that boys purchase the annuals with their pocket money! There is no obligation to purchase an annual.
Admission to Junior Infants September 2025
The process for admission to Junior Infants 2025 has now closed. All applicants have been notified of the decision on their application.
Applicants who are offered a place on the first round have until Friday 29th November to confirm acceptance of an offer.
This week is a special week for these great boys: Ruan O' Donovan, David Hayes Fitzpatrick, Conn Powell, Rohan Mandal, Ross Farrell, Rory Nasution, Hugo Drummond, Charlie Doyle, George O' Sullivan, Alexander Henderson & Aidan Mc Donagh.
