THANK YOU, SANTA

A huge thank you to Santa Claus for taking time out of his busy schedule and paying the Hollypark boys a visit on Monday. After his spectacular entrance, Santa took time to talk to each class. He spoke of the real meaning of Christmas, sharing, spending time with family, being grateful and treating everyone with kindness. As Santa said, it is not about what you get, it is about what you give this Christmas. That message rings true with the values and ethos in Hollypark.

Thank you to our wonderful Parents' Association for organising Santa this year. Santa's grotto looked amazing and made him feel really at home. Staff and boys in Hollypark are spoiled rotten by our amazing PA!

6TH CLASS CHRISTMAS SHOW

Well done to our fabulous 6th class who wrote, organised, choreographed, designed and managed their Christmas show. It was real teamwork at play. Under the supervision of Ms. Crowe, Mr. Mitchell, Ms. Smyth and Ms. Mc Laughlin, the boys entertained a packed audience. It was lots of fun and a great way to round off the Christmas celebrations in Hollypark. Well done to all of the 6th class team, we are proud of you all.
Thank you once again to Sarah and her fabulous PA team who were on hand to serve mulled wine and refreshments to the 6th class parents.

Mrs Regan’s 3rd Class were delighted to welcome Sadhbh McCarrick, Sustainability Manager at Dawn Farms, in to speak to them about the importance of biodiversity this week. They spent a lesson looking at native plant and animal species in Ireland and learning new terminology. There was even time for a quiz at the end!
Mrs Regan’s class are now looking forward to making posters about biodiversity and what they learned during the presentation.

Sadhbh said she was very impressed with their breadth of knowledge and enthusiasm for this subject area. More to come on this after Christmas!
