Fáilte go dtí Leathanach Rang a Sé. Bíomar an-ghnóthach le haghaidh Coicís na Gaeilge agus bhí neart imeachtaí ar siúl againn. Ghlacamar páirt i rang Yóga (trí Ghaeilge) an tseachtain seo caite. Chuamar ar cuairt go dtí Rang Ms. O’Neill chun phictiúir a phlé leis na Naonáin Bheaga.

The Sixth Class boys are also busy taking part in their Emu Ink short story venture. They have put a lot of work into planning, drafting and editing their work and we are looking forward to reading their book of short stories. We will keep you posted on a date for the book launch!

Ms. Power’s Class have finished their novel ‘Goodnight Mr. Tom’ which was a huge success. Many boys are now reading other books set during World War II. Eg. The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas and Once, Then, Now, After by Morris Gleitzman.

Mr. O' Donovan's boys are finished their class novel 'Wilderness' by Roddy Doyle and are looking forward to tackling 'Goodnight Mr. Tom' in the coming weeks!

Together with Senior Infants, we will be walking to the new Deansgrange Library, where the Sixth Class boys will read stories to the younger boys. The Book Fair is taking place this week in school. All profits go towards the library in the school and the updating of class novels.

Both classes are becoming experts in the area of Profit & Loss having perfected our basic Fraction, Decimal & Percentage work.

Ms. Power’s Class have learnt the first 20-25 Elements of the Periodic Table and can sing these to the tune of the Can-Can.

Mrs. Fennell has been busy teaching the boys the recorder and no doubt you are listening to their progress on a regular basis.

Congratulations to all the boys. The Ceremony of Light was a great success. We look forward to seeing you all again in celebrating their Confirmation Day on Thursday 22nd May.
