HOLLYPARKS' HEROES
By half time it looked like there was only one winner in the Holly park vs Pope John Pauls II, gaelic match last Monday 3rd November, but Hollypark retaliated from 6 points down to win
2-10 to 1-11 thanks to vociferous home support. The gaelic match was nail biting, with no obvious winner until the end.Holly parks' first goal was scored by Gareth Steward Lord, but Tom Downs goal was what really turned the tide in this thrilling second half.

When half time arrived at Croke Park, Hollypark B.N.S were 6 points down. Hollypark GNS had previously won their final against Holy Family and the boys were confident they could bring a second title home.They played their hearts out. Finally they were rewarded,Thomas Downs scored to level.Point after point went over the bar.4 points ahead with 4 minutes to go.Would it be enough?Pope John Paul II lobbed balls into the box,but Daniel Daly stood like a brick wall in defence .Finally the whistle blew.The crowd erupted into a sea of noise.The cheers grew louder as Barry Wolahan stepped up to lift the Corn Kitterick cup.

HOLLYPARK HEROES
As the Hollypark B.N.S team walked out to a great reception from their crowd.They were in the Final, in Croke Park because they worked extremely hard.As they lined up in their positions ......The tension rose, when the referee threw up the ball.....a fierce battle had begun.Point after point the oppositions advantage expanded. Hollypark couldn't find their feet, but their support found their voice. Just then Hollypark poured forward in numbers, the shot was fierce and unstoppable but was denied by the post .While the referee blew his whistle blew for half-time .... It was clear who the favourite team was to win .Mr O' Donavan had faith that he could win with an exapitional group of skilled players . Now it was all or nothing for Mr O' Donovan's boys. The half-time break also saw a change for both teams . It was off and running again. The boys showed some skillful passes that led to a goal ! Now the belief was with Hollypark . Attack after attack ,pass after pass .You could see that the tempo had changed, a great pass set-up yet another goal ! The supporters screams were defening . With the last five minutes minutes remaining .Hollypark pulled ahead by four points .As the last few seconds drew to a close, Final Score was 2-10 to 1-11 Hollypark Won everyone was extatic , they lifted the cup in delight!!!
