Sports Blitz 2025

The Sports Blitz will take place on Friday, 10th October. A wide variety of sports and activities will be on offer, including Soccer, Rugby, Cricket, Tennis, Volleyball, Basketball, Hip Hop, Yoga, Table Tennis, Archery, and Dance classes. With so many opportunities to get involved, it promises to be a fun-filled and active day for all the boys.

A big thank you goes to all the clubs, coaches, and parents who are generously giving their time to make this special event possible.

The Sports Blitz is the Parents’ Association’s main annual fundraiser for our school. Your continued generosity allows the PA to provide valuable resources, events, and improvements that benefit the boys throughout the year.

Please return your sponsorship cards that have been sent home with the boys. This year, a QR code has been added to the sponsorship cards, making it easy for families to submit payments online. If you paid via QR code, you must still return your sponsorship card.   Please remember to include the boy's name when making the payment.  Your support, in any form, is greatly appreciated.

We look forward to another memorable Sports Blitz and thank you in advance for your support.

CONGRATULATIONS KILMACUD!

A huge congratulations to the Kilmacud Senior Ladies Football Team on their fantastic County Final victory last weekend! Despite the challenging weather conditions, an incredible crowd turned out to cheer them on.

A special thank you to all the Hollypark mums, dads, grandparents, boys, and girls who braved the elements to show their support—your energy and encouragement truly helped drive the team over the line.

This remarkable win marks four consecutive Dublin County Final titles for the Kilmacud Ladies, an outstanding achievement and a testament to their skill, determination, and teamwork.

We wish the team every success as they now progress to the Leinster series, and we look forward to welcoming them to Hollypark very soon—with the Brendan Martin Cup in hand!

HALLOWE'EN DRESS UP

Halloween is upon us once again, and we are looking forward to seeing the boys dressed up for our annual Hallowe'en dress-up day, which will take place on Thursday, October 23rd.
Some boys have already begun their costume planning, and we are excited to see the variety of costumes they will be wearing, from spooky to silly and everything in between. Please find below the guidelines and requirements to follow for the smooth and safe running of the day:

  • No accessories, e.g., nothing they need to hold in their hand or things that can be put down for others to pick up and handle.
  • No long capes, dangly material or anything that may be a tripping hazard.
  • Costumes should be comfortable and practical for sitting in the classroom for the day, e.g., no inflatable costumes.
  • Be mindful that the costume isn’t going to scare a younger student. If you think a Junior Infant will be frightened, then tone it down or reconsider.

Less is more when it comes to costumes and keeping it simple can often be the most effective. It is a very exciting day for the boys and with your continued support and understanding, we hope to make it another success.

Parents’ Association - Notice of AGM

The Parents’ Association will hold an Open Evening on Wednesday, 6th November at 7 pm in the school. As part of the evening, the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Parents’ Association will take place.

This is a great opportunity to meet other parents, learn more about the work of the PA, and see how you can get involved in supporting our school community.

If you are interested in joining the Parents’ Association or would like more information, please get in touch with us at hollyparkboyspa@gmail.com.

We look forward to seeing many of you there!

FLU VACCINE

Over 80% of our students received the flu vaccine at school last week. Laurence, the pharmacist, was in awe of our school and the beautiful manners of our students.

STAR OF THE FUTURE

A huge congratulations to Richie Kennedy from Ms. O’Farrell’s class, who recently had the incredible honour of representing Ireland at the U11 Limburg International Tennis Cup in the Netherlands.

Richie and his teammates competed against strong opposition from Belgium, Finland, and the Netherlands, taking part in both singles and doubles matches each day of the tournament.

After some fantastic performances and great teamwork, Team Ireland went on to win the cup—a wonderful achievement that made the whole squad (and all of us here at Hollypark!) absolutely thrilled and proud.

Well done, Richie, on this outstanding accomplishment and for flying the flag for Ireland and Hollypark so proudly!
