AN PARÁID
Last Wednesday, we had a Paráid that we will remember forever. It was full of fun and cheer. Thank you parents and grandparents for turning up in your droves to help us celebrate Lá Fhéile Pádraig in style. A huge thank you also to parent and RTÉ presenter, Jacqui Hurley for lending us her talents as MC for the event. Thank you to Harry, our youngest pupil, and Eoghan, our eldest pupil who were the Grand Marshals on the day. Once again, our amazing staff pulled the whole day together to make memories that Hollypark boys will never forget. Thank you to Mrs. Regan and Ms. Morgan for organising the fun and thank you to Mr. Jones, Matthew and Michael from 6th class and the student council for helping to set up and get the place rocking!
Bhí cách ag tsnúth go mór leis an bparáid sa chlós Dé Ceádaoin seo caite. Bhí áthas an domhain orainn fáilte a chur roimh na tuismitheoirí ar fad arís in mbliana! Bhí tús iontach leis an bparáid. Míle buíochas do Chlann Carron. Maith sibh Donal, Tomás agus Colm. Bhí an t-ádh linn go raibh Jacqui Hurley ann ar an lá. Rinne na páistí an-iarracht amhráin, rainn and dánta a foghlaim.
A bhuachaillí- ba cheart daoibh a bheith an-bhródúil. Bhí sibh ar feabhas ar fad.
WORLD DOWN SYNDROME DAY
Celebrate World Down Syndrome Day with us on Thursday 21st March '24. Details of the event are on the poster attached below. We thank you for your generosity in advance. All funds raised will go to the Down Syndrome Centre in Sandyford.
WINNER WINNER!
A huge congratulations to our 2 cross-country running teams that won 1st place last week. Luke Mc Mahon, Stephen Rourke and Cristopher Kirwan won individual prizes on the day. When all the final positions were added up, Hollpark BNS came in 1st place in the 3rd/4th class category and in the 5th/6th class category. It was a brilliant day out for all involved. Thank you to Ms. Kearns and Mr. Moloney for giving their free time to manage, organise and lead the teams.
Bhí Tráth na gCeist ar súil sa halla ar an Aoine seo caite. Bhí babhta ar eolas ginearálta, spórt, ceol, teilifís, scannán agus bratacha an domhain. There were boys from every class from 3rd to 6th represented. It was very close scoring and there was great excitement in the end when it finished in a tiebreak.
Congratulations to our Tráth na gCeist (table quiz) winners. Boys from 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th took part in the competition as Gaeilge last week as part of our SNAG. Thank you to Ms. Smyth for hosting the event in the school hall. The winners were David, Fionán, Hari agus Séan. Maith sibh a bhuachaillí!
THANK YOU, BOYS
A huge thank you to these great 1st class boys who helped pick up litter after the Paráid last Wednesday. They are a living example of what respect looks like. Thank you, boys.

TENNIS TEAMS
Best of luck to our 3 tennis teams who take to the courts again this week. The team are looking stunning in their new white hoodies and t-shirts!
STAR OF THE FUTURE
Well done to Eoghan, 6th class, who was part of the u15 Leinster water polo team that won the Interprovincial series on St Patrick’s Day.
PAST PUPIL WATCH
Speaking of sporting success, congratulations to Ryan Crowley who played for the Dublin Minor hurling team last week. Ryan is also on the Dublin football panel and managing to balance his time studying for his Junior Cert exams. Well done Ryan, all in HPBNS are proud of you. Make sure you come in to visit us soon!
Congratulations to past pupils Ernie O' Brien, Sam Kilroy, Harry Dixon, Shane Van Zuydum and Alex Doorly who were all part of the Blackrock Senior Cup team who beat St. Michael's last weekend. St. Michael's also had a host of former pupils in their squad. As students in Hollypark, these boys played all sports and won numerous Gaelic, hurling, soccer and tennis competitions. We wish these men well in their future careers and we will be keeping a watchful eye on our national newspapers for more reports of glory.
PITCH AND PUTT
FORE, PLEASE!
Hollypark BNS has a very active after school golf programme. Co-ordinated by Mr. Murphy, boys from 4th, 5th & 6th class play weekly pitch and putt in Jamestown. Last Wednesday was the turn of the teachers and SNAs! 8 players braved the soft underfoot conditions to play 18 holes. Mr. Murphy, Ms. Lynch, Ms. Quealy and Ms. Doyle took the bragging rights. Roll on next month when we will look to get revenge!
CONGRATULATIONS HOLLYPARK GNS
A huge congratulations to Hollypark Girls' School who won the Leinster Hockey Primary Scchool Girls' competition yesterday. We know how much training, preparation, organisation and time that goes into winning big competitions like this. Well done to all involved. We look forward to welcoming the winning team and the trophy into Hollypark BNS tomorrow.
BAGS2SCHOOL
The Parents' Association are organising a fundraising clothing collection with Bag2School. By getting involved, you have an opportunity to sort through your cupboards and wardrobes and donate any unwanted textiles. Bag2School will donate 10% of funds raised to LauraLynn House.

SPRING FLOWERS
Thank you to Ms. Perera for the gift of an Amaryllis bulb. We waited patiently for the past 6 weeks for this maginifcant flower to burst through. Standing just under 70cm, it really helps to brighten up our entrance.
