SENSORY ROOM

Our new sensory room has been a great addition to our ever improving school. Boys from all classes are benefitting from the calm space. Thank you to Mrs. Webbley for leading the development of our sensory room. A sensory room is a space which aims to provide students with the individualised sensory input they need to self-regulate, so they can be better prepared for learning and interacting with others. A sensory space addresses the primary senses; sight, hearing, smell, touch and the vestibular and proprioceptive senses. We look forward to our neurodivergent learners enjoying this space for years to come.

SCHOOLS TENNIS

The Leinster Tennis Primary Schools League will run from March 6th until May 26th this year. We are hoping to enter two teams of 5th and 6th class boys (born in 2012 or earlier) to represent Hollypark. There will be six boys on each team.

If your son is interested in being considered for a place on the team, please email your interest to hollyparktennis2023@gmail.com before January 27th.

Please include details of tournament experience and Tennis Ireland ranking (if applicable), as this will help with team selection. Leinster Tennis also uses this information to determine which division our teams will play in.

Many thanks,
Judith Sheridan
Tennis coordinator 2023

HOLE IN ONE ALERT!

Well done to Nathan O' Brien who had a hole in one at last week's school golf practice. A beauty of a shot from 100 metres, 2 bounces and into the hole! A day he will never forget!

THIS WEEK'S ADVERTISEMENTS

CALL FOR ALTAR SERVERS - FOXROCK CHURCH

During the pandemic Foxrock Church had to pause the involvement of altar servers in masses. Now, 3 years on we're looking to get boys and girls involved in altar serving again. My own boys have been involved over the years and they enjoyed the responsibility. The treats at Christmas and Easter and the altar servers days out didn't hurt either!
We're looking for servers for the 6pm mass on Saturdays and 10am on Sundays. We try to only schedule servers every 2 or 3 weeks and there is never a problem if they can't make it. If you're interested in learning more please contact me on triona.mcormack@gmail.com, or email Foxrock Parish on secretary@foxrockparish.ie if your child would like to get involved.
