ALADDIN SYSTEM UPDATE

Verify your number: We are asking all parents to please verify your phone number on Aladdin Connect to ensure you continue to get all school correspondence. If you have not verified your number by February 28th you will no longer be in receipt of school text messages via Aladdin. 

How do I verify my phone number? 

You can check if your phone number is verified by scrolling to the bottom of the Home Page in the app. If you have not verified your mobile number you will see the following message:
“Your mobile number is not verified. You will not be able to receive text messages with the Aladdin app until your verify your number.
Click here to verify your number. Simply, click on the blue tab and verify your phone number. 
 

DATES FOR YOUR DIARY

March 16th, school will be closed to facilitate staff in-service training on the new Primary Language Curriculum.

SPRING CLEAN: MARCH 25th 2023

After the success of last years Spring Clean, we will once again come together as a school community to clean up areas of our school. Raking leaves, pulling weeds, power washing walls, planting flowers and general upkeep of the surrounds. We welcome all volunteers, young and old! 

We are also looking for people with an interest in gardening. We hope to improve on our wildflower garden this summer and any expertise or knowledge on this project is very welcome! If I can ask you to kindly email info@hollyparkbns.ie before March 10th FAO: Wildflower Garden, we can have a meeting before March 25th and have equipment and a plan ready for the day. Many thanks in advance. 

ROAD WORKS

Road works at the entrance of Hollypark estate, on the Newtownpark Avenue side will take place from 21/02/'23 until 28/02/'23. A 'stop/go' system will be in operation. Expect delays while making your way to Hollypark by car. As always, we encourage children to walk, scoot, cycle or park and walk. Remember, Foxrock Church have made several parking spaces available to Hollypark schools to facilitate any families who wish to park and walk. 

SPRING SUNSHINE

It is lovely to have spring sunshine shining on us once again. 3rd class took full advantage of the great weather this week and enjoyed some novel reading in our fabulous gardens. Thanks to the continued great work by our gardening committee, led by Mrs. Quealy, our grounds are looking resplendent in the spring sunshine. The daffodils and tulips are a very welcome sight! 

STARS OF THE FUTURE

The future is looking very bright for Granada Soccer Club. Elliott, Nathan and Tom from 5th class were all recent winners at the the Granada FC awards ceremony. Well done boys, we are very proud of you.
