Thank you to Mr. Mc Evoy, Mr. Mitchell and Mr. Murphy for taking the teams. Last week's match was also a debut for our new jerseys which were kindly donated by Granada FC towards the end of last year. We were looking very professional!

Well done to James Mc Kenna, 4th class, who won the top prize of a beautiful bike. Thank you Mike's Bikes in Dun Laoghaire for giving a generous bike discount. Thanks to you all, our cake sale was a great success, and we are pleased to be making a donation of €1,500 to the Kenyan Child Foundation.  Your support is really appreciated.

Words of thanks from The Kenyan Child Foundation.

Thank you so much to the Parents' Association for their generous donation from the recent cake sale. The annual cake sale is always an exciting day in Hollypark and The Children of St. Patrick’s Primary School Kawese and The Songa school in Nairobi, Kenya will benefit massively from the generosity shown by the parents and pupils of Hollypark.

St. Patrick's Primary school in Kawese, Kenya was built by The Kenyan Child Foundation between 2015 and 2019 and continues to go from strength to strength. Over 250 boys and girls from the local, rural area attend the school and take part in a nutrition programme through the breakfast club.

The Songa School for children living with additional needs was constructed by The Kenyan Child Foundation in 2020 and is also a great success. 70 children from the informal settlement, Mukuru, who live in the most challenging of circumstances, now have the chance to attend a school designed to cater for their needs in their locality. The Songa school is the first school of its kind in Nairobi and is already home to a fabulous sensory room funded by Hollypark. You cannot describe the delight that the children get from these new facilities and they are in great demand everyday.

Once again, we wish to thank the Parents' Association who have helped The Kenyan Child Foundation over many years. You have supported the making of Christmas tree cards, the Christmas CD venture and many other fundraisers and campaigns. Your support has made a great difference to the lives of hundreds of children and their families in Kenya.

Asante Sana and go raibh maith agaibh go léir.
