CHRISTMAS COLLECTION IN AID OF THE CAPUCHIN DAY CENTRE FOR THE HOMELESS
Our Pupil Voice Committee had their inaugural meeting this week and set about making a difference for others already! Combatting child poverty is their focus at this time of year and they are making a Christmas collection in aid of homeless children and families. The Pupil Voice Committee are collecting vouchers for The Capuchin Day Centre for the homeless. The centre provides hundreds of hot meals every day as well as food parcels for those in need.
You can help by buying a voucher for Super Valu, Tesco, Dunnes, Aldi or Lidl. Boys can bring these vouchers to school where their teachers and the students will gather them.
We will drop these vouchers to the Capuchin Day Centre before Christmas so that they can be used to buy supplies for children and families in need. Many thanks in advance.
WINNER WINNER!!
Congratulations to Ms. O' Neill's, 6th class, who are the Dublin Senior Category winners in the Someone Like Me competition. The boys entry will now go forward to the National awards on January 18th. We are very proud of Ms. O' Neill and her boys.

CHILDHOOD RSV & STREP A
We kindly ask that children who are displaying symptoms of illness, cough, fever, sore throat etc. stay at home from school until they are fully recovered. You will see from media reports that childhood RSV and Strep A are highly contagious infections and extremely dangerous. We want to ensure these infections stay out of our school.
As the temperatures are set to plummet in the coming days, please ensure the boys are appropriately dressed for outdoor yard and PE classes. Please ensure all names are clearly visible on all coats, hats, scarfs etc.
STAR OF THE FUTURE
Congratulations to Charlie Pattison, 5th class, who had a hole-in-one last week during Hollypark golf lessons. A beauty of a strike from 150 metres, one bounce and the ball dropped into the hole. The huge cheer and joyous reaction from his group mates could be heard for miles around! Well done Charlie, certainly a memory to cherish.
