FIRST HOLY COMMUNION
Best wishes to our 2nd class boys who make their First Holy Communion this Saturday. Fr. Gerry called in yesterday to meet the boys in all three classes. Fr. School Self Evaluation
As part of our SSE(School Self Evaluation) we are reviewing our Wellbeing Programme in the school. As part of this process we are conducting a Parent(s)/Guardian(s) survey via email. Your views are an important part of this reflection process. We would be very grateful if you could complete the survey. An email will be sent to all families before the end of the week.
Many thanks,
The Wellbeing Team
STARS OF THE FUTURE
Congratulations to Caden, Junior Infants, who recently won player of the week at soccer camp. We are always on the look out for emerging talent for our school teams. Our future certainly looks bright! Well done Caden!
Also pictured below is Shaurya who is in 3rd class. He is passionate about karate and recently cleared his grading for green belt ( 6th Kyu) . Over the last couple of years he has progressed from 13th Kyu to 6th Kyu, and is quite excited that he is 5 Kyus(levels) away from black belt! Well done Shaurya, keep up the great work!
Uniform Recycling
The Parents' Association are organising a collection of Hollypark Boys uniforms / tracksuits / coats which boys have outgrown/ no longer in use. Members from the PA will be outside the school accepting these items on Friday 21st April and Monday 24th April from 8.30am to 9.00am. If you have items to donate, we ask that they are clean and in good condition (no rips or tears, zips working etc) and all personal information removed i.e. boys name, contact phone number.
The Uniform Sale will be held on the morning of Friday 28th April in the school hall.
In My Shoes Campaign
The 2023 shoe appeal, shipping pre-loved sports shoes from families in Ireland to children in Lesotho and South Africa, is running across Primary Schools in Ireland from 17th to 28th April. We are delighted to be taking part and will collect donations for this campaign at the same time as above (Friday 21st & Monday 24th April 8.30am to 9.00am)
The sports shoes (runners, trainers, soccer / GAA / rugby boots etc.) should be clean, in good condition and tied together securely. More information can be found here https://www.inmyshoescharity.org/
