MEET THE HOLLYPARK ISM TEAM
Last term, Hollypark BNS appointed 4 new Assistant Principals. Garvan Mc Evoy, Muireann Regan, Dearbhla Hynes and Caoimhe Webbley. The 4 members joined the In-School Management team (ISM) alongside Annette Lynch (Deputy Principal), Deirdre Larkin, Brigid Brennan and Ronan Ryan. Each of the Assistant Principals are part of the team in charge of the day-to-day running of the school. As well as this duty, they each have two curricular areas to manage. Great work has begun in earnest and each of the members are busy drafting policies, long and short-term plans as well as purchasing, managing and organising new resources throughout the school. We have heavily resourced and invested in the areas included in the table below. We look forward to the benefits it will have on teaching, learning and assessment in Hollypark BNS now and into the future.
We believe children learn best through hands-on learning, pair and group work tasks, enjoyment and collaboration with their peers in an environment that challeges, motivates and encourages creativity. (Hollypark ISM, 2022)

ADHD Ireland Schools Accreditation Programme
We are delighted to be a participant school in Ireland’s first ADHD School's Accreditation Programme, run by ADHD Ireland.
As mentioned last week, 1 in 20 school aged children have the neurodevelopmental condition Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).
Since September, our teachers and SNAs have undertaken training from various professionals through ADHD Ireland. We have learned more about the condition from a medical perspective and also practical strategies on how we can provide a supportive learning environment for our boys with ADHD. Our staff have had access to support groups for school staff who work with children with ADHD, in order to learn from other educational professionals. Most importantly, we focus on the strengths and talents of these boys and find opportunities for them to shine.
As part of the programme, ADHD Ireland offer webinars for parents too. For example, there is a parents' support group today, Wednesday March 30th @ 7pm. Your son does not need to have a diagnosis for you to attend.

The Parents’ Association will be holding a second-hand uniform sale in the school hall this Saturday 2nd April from 9.00am – 11.00am. BEAUTIFUL ARTWORK ON DISPLAY
Once again, our boys are showing off their creative flair with some wonderful artwork on display throughout the corridors. At the end of each month, our school walls are gallery-like, full of colour, creativity and inspiration. Well done boys, keep up the great work!

CUMANN NA MBUNSCOL- FOOTBALL
Best of luck to our senior A team who play this Thursday evening. I had the pleasure of helping Mr. Mitchell to coach the A team in Marlay Park yesterday. The boys are fighting fit and looking forward to their semi-final against St. Pius X. Thank you to Mr. Mitchell and Mrs. Regan for all their inspiration with this group. Huge credit also to Mrs. Crowe and Mr. Mc Evoy for their work with the B team. We wish them well in their fixture V's St. Laurences, Kilmacud next week. The B's are also fighting fit and vying for top place in their league. I look forward to supporting them.
This week is a special week for Aidan Mc Gee, Conan Mc Gee, Oscar Carron, David Murphy and Liam Kinsella. We wish you a very happy birthday boys!
