Christmas Collection in Aid of Capuchin Day Centre

Our Advent collection this year is in aid of the Capuchin Day Centre for the homeless in Central Dublin.

At this time of year, the centre supports the homeless by providing hundreds of warm meals everyday for adults, children and families in a safe and caring environment. Every week the centre distributes over a thousand food parcels to needy families who seek out their support. Combating Child Poverty is our focus this year and with that in mind, we are gathering some supplies to make Christmas a little better for homeless families.

  • Junior Infants – New socks and tights (Children u15)
  • Senior Infants – Hats, gloves and scarves (Children u15)
  • 1st Class – Shower Gel, soap, shampoo
  • 2nd Class – Nappies and wipes (any size, any brand)
  • 3rd Class – Baby Formula (any brand, age and stage)
  • 4th Class – New hats, gloves, scarves (Children u15)
  • 5th Class – New socks and tights (Children u15)
  • 6th Class – Baby Formula (any brand, age and stage)

Please feel free to donate extra items from the list. There will be a box outside each boys’ classroom for any donations you wish to make. Thank you to Ms. Mc Carrick and the boys of 5th class for organising this event.

The Capuchin Day Centre and Brother Kevin Crowley send their heartfelt thanks on behalf of the homeless to the boys and families of Hollypark for their kind support.

Parents’ Association EGM

On Thursday 28th November, elections for the parent representatives to the Board of Management will take place at 6.30pm in the school hall. 2 votes will take place, one being a mother and one being a father of current boys enrolled in Hollypark BNS.

Mental Health and Wellbeing

The boys of 4th class have this week decorated the Wellbeing Board in our entrance corridor. They have included a feelings finder which is there to help boys who might be a little confused as to why they are not feeling themselves.
