Thank you and well done!

A huge thank you and well done to all boys, parents, minders and afterschools for embracing the new procedures and layouts at drop off and collection time. As a result of your compliance we were able to streamline all times this week which I am sure is making things much easier for families. Keep up the great work and continue to follow current public health advice in and around our campus.

Thank You, Staff

I cannot let this opportunity pass without thanking all the staff in Hollypark BNS. Your help, support and work ethic has come to the fore and the re-opening of our school under difficult circumstances has been a major success. You have helped your classes to settle back so effortlessly and the smiles that greet me every morning from your boys are a sight to behold. Well done everybody, keep up the great work!

No Dogs Allowed On The School Campus

No Dogs Icon

For the safety, health and welfare of all our boys we ask that you do not bring dogs onto the school campus. Thank you for your understanding.

Stars of the Future

Congratulations to Kit Webbley, who this week became a Taekwondo star, finishing 6th in the World Championships. Well done Kit, we are looking forward to seeing you represent Ireland in the Olympics in the future!

Cycling, Scooting and Walking to School

It is great to see so many boys cycle, scoot and walk to school. Just a reminder to boys who are cycling and scooting

  1. Wear a helmet
  2. Follow the rules of the road
  3. Do not cycle/scoot on a busy footpath, dismount from your bike and walk
  4. Bike racks are available in two locations at the front of the school
  5. Be careful!

School Equipment

In my summer communication to parents and boys, I asked that boys have a pencil case for school with their essentials for everyday use. If you have not supplied this pencil case, please look at www.hollyparkbns.ie for what items your son needs.

Monthly Focus

Many teachers have volunteered their time to set up a well-being committee within the school. Given the current challenges that Covid-19 has presented us with, this committee and their endeavours will benefit the boys. This month in school, we will be focusing on gratitude. Throughout the week, each class will pause and take some time for reflection and boys will share with their teachers the reasons for their gratitude. Older boys in the school will be keeping a gratitude journal.

School Library

Thank you to SNA Mrs. Tecklenborg, our wonderful Parents’ Association and Library committee led by Jo-Ann Durning for taking the time to cover each library book and ‘fun book’ within the school with a plastic wipeable cover. Thankfully, class libraries will be able to be re-established within the school.
