Happy New Year
Welcome back to our school community. I hope you all had a happy and peaceful Christmas. Wishing you health and happiness for 2022. It was great to see our wonderful students bounce in the doors once again. The boys were straight back to work and projects are in full swing in a lot of classes!
parent/teacher meetings
Parent/ teacher meetings will take place from January 17th to February 11th. In the coming days, your son’s teacher will contact you with a time and date for your meeting. Meetings will be via telephone call and will last 10 minutes.
On January 26th and 27th, school will close 15 minutes earlier (1st-6th class) to facilitate meetings.
covid-19
Thank you to our school community for continuing to keep us safe from Covid-19. Please continue to follow all public health guidelines. Your help and support is very much appreciated by all the staff in Hollypark who work closely with your children. Thank you.
Special Education Teachers /SET
Our SET team who work with our classes and our boys with SEN (Special Educational Needs) are coordinated by Mrs. Annette Lynch who is also Deputy Principal). We are extremely lucky to have a SET with each year group. These are qualified primary school teachers with additional qualifications and expertise in Special Educational Needs. We aim to give support beginning in Junior Infants as early intervention can minimise greater challenges when boys are older. Our SET team also work with the whole class at times. Support is given in-class, in small groups or on a one-to-one basis depending on the needs involved.

Sincere Thanks to Student Council, Parents & Students of St. Patricks Boys National School Hollypark
Dear Friends,
Just a brief note to formally acknowledge your generous donations of vouchers to the value of €4,080 which goes a long way towards our work here in Bow Street with people who are homeless or in need. This donation will help in offsetting our food costs, particularly over the Christmas period and during the Covid 19 crisis.
On behalf of the people who attend the Centre and the Irish Capuchin Franciscan Order, we offer renewed thanks and our prayers for God’s blessings on you and all you hold dear.
With every good wish.
Bro. Kevin Crowley ofm.cap
We will celebrate Catholic Schools Week from January 30th – February 5th with a series of activities and events throughout the school.
