Dear Parents and Guardians,
A decision has been made by Taoiseach, Leo Varadkar, to close all schools until March 29th effective from 6pm today.
Our teachers have created a menu of work for all boys to access during this time. There will be a range of subjects covered and it will also be a lovely time to cover practical and hands on aspects of the curriculum i.e. sorting and counting money, fine and gross motor skill activities, STEM activities, baking a cake, planting seeds, project work and reading a variety of genres of books. There are lot of fun and engaging learning activities available online.
We are very conscious that the children may feel alarmed by this closure and that it will put pressure on families. Please do not feel under any obligation to complete this work. This work is designed to support you, as a parent and your children, should you wish to avail of it.
You can access and download this guidance from the Department of Education and Skills website below under the heading ‘Talking to children and young people about Covid-19’.
There is also a child-friendly interview that Deputy Chief Medical Officer Dr. Ronan Glynn did with RTÉ’s News2day programme last week, that may also be a useful resource when talking about Covid-19 with your children.

Please ensure you have provided the school with your correct contact details.
We continue to keep those affected directly by Covid-19 in our prayers.
Yours sincerely,
Barry O’ Donovan
