Today, Fiona from Dogs Trust came on a visit with Ollie the Boxer, to see our three first classes.

The boys were given lots of great tips and information about responsible dog ownership and also more importantly how to act and behave safely around a dog.

Fiona showed the boys the W.A.L.T approach which is :

W– Walking calmly up to a dog and their owner

A– Asking permission to pet the dog

L– Let the dog smell your safe hand (Thumb tucked in to make a fist)

T– Touch/ pet the dog with the permission of the owner.
