KIND WORDS, KIND ACTIONS

It is wonderful to see our corridors once again filled with art pieces, creations, and projects. The boys are working extremely hard academically, while also showing their wonderful Hollypark manners.

This term, we are placing a special focus on respect and kindness — both in the classroom and in the yard. On my daily visits to classrooms, the boys have shared some excellent insights on how to play and interact kindly. Their suggestions included:

  • Including everybody in your games
  • Using kind words
  • Helping classmates join in play
  • Kind hands
  • Keeping your hands to yourself while lining up

These thoughtful responses demonstrate the boys' growing commitment to our values of kindness and respect, in line with the new Bí Cínéalta Policy 2025. We hope that you, our parents, will continue to reinforce this important message at home too.

Sports Blitz 2025

The Parents’ Association is busy finalising plans and timetables for our fundraising Sports Blitz, which takes place next week on Friday, 10th October. A wide variety of sports and activities will be on offer, including Soccer, Rugby, Cricket, Tennis, Volleyball, Basketball, Hip Hop, Yoga, Table Tennis, Archery, and Dance classes. With so many opportunities to get involved, it promises to be a fun-filled and active day for all the boys.

A big thank you goes to all the clubs, coaches, and parents who are generously giving their time to make this special event possible.

The Sports Blitz is the Parents’ Association’s main annual fundraiser for our school. Your continued generosity allows the PA to provide valuable resources, events, and improvements that benefit the boys throughout the year.

Sponsorship cards have been sent home with the boys today. We are encouraging them to get creative—perhaps completing chores at home—in exchange for sponsorship. This year, a QR code has been added to the sponsorship cards, making it easy for families to submit payments online.  Please remember to include the boy's name when making the payment.  Your support, in any form, is greatly appreciated.

We look forward to another memorable Sports Blitz and thank you in advance for your support.

STARS OF THE FUTURE

Congratulations to Senan and Conall, who were busy last weekend volunteering for the Irish Hospice. The boys worked tirelessly, helping their Nana (who is in her 92nd year!)  prepare for and run her 33rd Irish Hospice Coffee Morning. The boys were super, and she was so proud of all the work they did for this great cause. The coffee morning raised a whopping 6,400 euros. Incredible work, boys!
