Whole School Evaluation- Management, Leadership and Learning

We are looking forward to our Whole School Evaluation Inspection which will take place in school on the 25^th, 26^th & 27^th February 2025. Three members of the Department of Education Inspectorate will be onsite for the three days. The Inspectors will visit the school and spend time in many classes throughout all class levels including support settings. 

This is a reminder to any parent or guardian who has not completed the online survey (link emailed last Friday) please complete the survey before February 25th. We thank you for your cooperation.

Staff In-Service: Bí Cineálta Training

Please note that the school will close early on Wednesday 19th February to facilitate staff in-service on the new Bí Cineálta Guidelines.

We will operate a staggered closure as outlined below:

Cineáltas Flag

The Cineáltas flag is flying proudly outside Hollypark as a reminder to the school community of our commitment to show kindness to each other in our daily interactions. Our wonderful student council promotes kindness (cineáltas) throughout our school and helps to explain to all classes what is meant by the actions of Cinelátas. 

Last year, the boys on the student council then put together a poster showing the 'kindness' words that came up most frequently across all of the classes in our school. Words like helping, honesty, sharing, loyalty, respect, loving and caring all featured heavily. The poster along with our 'Kindness Tree' is on display in the school as a reminder for the boys of our commitment to showing kindness to each other. 

SEACHTAIN NA GAEILGE 10Ú - 14Ú MÁRTA 2023 

Beidh Seachtain na Gaeilge a chéiliúreadh againn sa scoil ar an 4ú - 15ú lá de Mhárta.  Táimid ag tnúth go mór leis!  Beidh imeachtaí cheiliúreadh ar siúl timpeall na scoile i rith na coicíse mar yoga,as gaeilge, céilí, trath na gceist, ciorcal comhrá, craic agus ceoil. Beidh seans ag na buachaillí duaiseanna a bhuacaint sa chomórtais “Gaelgeoir an Lae” agus “Gaelgeoir na Seachtaine”.  Tá na buachaillí gnóthach ag foghlaim amhráin, dánta agus rainn le haghaidh an Pharáid.  Beidh an Pharáid ar siúl sa chlós ar an 13ú lá de Mhárta ag 11:00. (School Parade on March 13th @ 11am. All parents/grandparents are welcome)

GARDEN COMMITTEE

A huge thank you to Sean, Gabriel, Sonny, Cillian, Hugo, and Mrs. Quealy for their ongoing work caring for our school gardens. Our surroundings look magnificent and add to the very positive environment in Hollypark. Our gardens provide a welcome wellbeing boost to staff and students alike. Our gardening team plays a very active role in our school and we are so proud of them. Boys and Mrs. Quealy, we thank you very much for all your hard work.
